Stena Line is the World’s leading ferry company and is unrivalled with it’s choice of 5 routes on the Irish Sea, sailing from Fishguard, Holyhead and Stranraer. 

On their South Wales route from Fishguard they offer a conventional ferry service with two crossings a day to and from Rosslare, County Wexford taking 3hours 30mins and an additional summer service with the Stena Express crossing in some 120mintues.

Fishguard in Welsh ‘ Abergwaun ‘ was the last point of invasion of the British Isles by a foreign Army/Navy and was invaded in 1797 by the French, they were quickly defeated by the Pembrokeshire Yeomanry who were awarded unique battle honours, they hold the  only battle honours ever won by a British army on British soil.  Along the front at Goodwick close to the ferry port you can see a memorial stone honouring the occassion.  Just a little way from the ferry port Lower Fishguard was the location for the filming of Dylan Thomas famous work ‘Under Milk Wood’ 

Holyhead on Ynys Mon, North Wales offers you an all year conventional and fast service, with the Superferry traveling Holyhead to the Port of Dublin in 3hours 15mins twice a day and the unique to Stena line HSS fastferry crossing to Dun Laoghaire in 99mintues.  Dun Laoghaire is situated just south of Dublin but only 9miles from the heart of city.

Stena Line sails with a superferry and HSS from Stranraer (Scotland) into the heart of Belfast City – the superferry crossing in 3hrs 15mins and the HSS in 105mins with multiple sailings on offer per day.

The HSS craft sail in most weather and only loss sailings in extreme weather conditions, they are large enough to caravans, motorhomes and trucks.

Also operated to Ireland is the service from Fleetwood to Larne but this is mainly used by freight but is available to car users also but this is an eight hour crossing.

Stena Line offer you the fastest of crossings available from Great Britain to Holland (Netherlands) sailing with a conventional ferry and HSS fast craft from Harwich to the Hook of Holland (Rotterdam).  The ferry crosses in 6hours 30mins but far the most popular for the private traveler is the HSS crossings traveling twice daily in just 3hrs 40mins.
